The popular Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber musical is being performed by Taylorian Productions from 7th to 19th August.
Leading corporate service provider SMP Partners is a Gold Sponsor for the musical and will host a corporate night on 16th August with a collection for the company's Charity of the Year, The Alzheimer's Society.
The musical tells the Biblical story of Joseph, his eleven brothers and the coat of many colours. The show features many catchy tunes including Any Dream Will Do, Poor, Poor Joseph, Close Every Door and Potiphar. Originally performed in 1968 the musical has played around the world including in the West End and Broadway.
Mark Denton, Managing Director of SMP Partners, said: 'We are long-time supporters of the arts on the Island and this is the seventh Taylorian Productions show we have sponsored. We are always delighted by the quality of their performance and they've once again chosen a fantastic musical, which were sure the Manx audiences will love.
'As part of our active role in the community, SMP Partners supports musical theatre not only because of how much the audiences enjoy the productions but also because it gives everyone involved a fantastic experience. The Isle of Man has fantastic amateur dramatic talent and productions like this help develop a range of skills, build confidence and understand the value of teamwork.'
'We're all looking forward to seeing what I'm sure will be a big hit.'
Producer Matt James said: 'We're excited to be bringing this masterpiece of a musical to the Island. The fast-paced show features several musical genres so it's got something for everyone, and we're sure everyone will be singing and dancing along.
'We are extremely grateful to SMP Partners for once again supporting us as we take this colourful musical to the stage. Without such sponsorship it simply wouldn't be possible to stage theatrical productions on this scale, and bring shows like this to the Island.'
SMP Partners has supported many major Gaiety shows including The Producers, Oliver!, The Phantom of the Opera, Sunset Boulevard, CATS, Tommy, the Wizard of Oz, Miss Saigon, Evita and Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.
Joseph runs at the Gaiety Theatre from 7th to 19th August. Tickets, priced from £21, are available or online from www.villagaiety.com and www.taylorianproductions.net.
